Frequently asked questions

How do I prepare for the examination?

Please bring your identity document, your glasses or lenses if you wear them, and your previous medical certificate. The clinic will confirm any additional preparation instructions when you book.

How long until I receive my certificate?

The result and the issue date are decided by the aero-medical examiner, depending on the examination.

How do I pay?

Payment is made at the clinic. You pay nothing in advance online. Reception will confirm the payment methods accepted.

Is Class 3 booked online?

No. Class 3 examinations, for air traffic control and information personnel, are not booked online. To book, please contact the ROMATSA representative.

What is the difference between an initial examination and a revalidation?

An initial examination is the first issue of the medical certificate for a class. A revalidation or renewal is for a certificate that has already been issued. Each service in the list shows the type of examination.
